James J. Reilly Jr. 64, of Franklin, died peacefully at his home Tuesday November 3, 2009. He was the husband of Joanne G. (Bailey) Reilly.
Born in Quincy, May 26, 1945 a son of the late James J. Reilly Sr. & Edith (Billings) Reilly, he was raised and educated in Woods Hole, and was a 1963 graduate of Lawrence High School in Falmouth. He is also a 1965 graduate of the former Cambridge School of Business.
Mr. Reilly was employed as an auditor for the Overland Solutions Company. He also worked for more than 25 years in the finance department at the former Jordan Marsh Company in Boston.
He served in the United States Navy during the Viet Nam War. He attained the rank of YN2, and was honorably discharged in October 1969.
He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed cooking and woodworking. He was also a communicant of St. Mary’s Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his brother Thomas E. Reilly of San Dimas, CA, a sister Mary Elizabeth Barrett of Holliston, his father in law Francis Bailey of Buffalo Grove, ILL., and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass with military Honors Friday November 6th, at 10AM at St. Mary’s Church 1 Church SQ. Franklin.
Interment will be private.
