Boston, MA. - Walter Roderick Sr. age 81 died Tuesday November 3rd, 2009 at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Walter was the beloved husband of the late Mabel (Frates) Roderick who died April 17, 2009. He was the father of Bruce husband of Ann Roderick of New Bedford and Walter Roderick Jr. of Dartmouth. He is also survived by 5 Grandchildren, 3 Great-Grandchildren
Mr. Roderick was the son of the late Mary Cabral (Medeiros) and Manuel Roderick. He was born in New Bedford and was a lifelong area resident. Walter was employed as a Creditor at Hathaway Oil Co.
Mr. Roderick’s funeral will be Saturday from the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. at 7:30 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Church Fairhaven at 9 A.M. Family and friends are invited. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday evening from 6 to 8P.M.
