Lillian R. Dagenais, 92, of Manchester, died November 2, 2009, after a long illness. She was born in Manchester, September 1, 1917, and was the daughter of George and Clara (Brousseau) Lemieux.
Lillian received her early education locally, and her Registered Nurse certificate from Notre Dame Hospital, school of nursing. Later and for many years she worked as a registered nurse at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home. In her spare time, she enjoyed square dancing, and had been a member of the Heel and Toe square dance club, as well as many others.
Family members include a daughter, Diane Therrien, and her husband Roger, of Manchester; a son, Donald Dagenais, and his wife Baba, of Atlanta GA; 5 grandchildren, Debbie, Stephanie, Jennifer, Nathan, Elizabeth; 5 great grandchildren, Evan, Aidan, Benjamin, Alex, Sophia ; several nieces, nephews and cousins; she was predeceased by her daughter, Susan Ray, in 1996, and her husband Armand”Shorty”Dagenais, in 2000.
A funeral liturgy took place at Mt. Calvary Mausoleum on Thursday, November 5, 2009.
