
Albert DeGrazio, 92 of Franklin died November 1 in his home. He was the husband of the late Catherine (Baccheocchi) DeGrazio who died in 1998.
Born in Franklin, July 26, 1917, the son of the late Gabriel and Maria (Fontana) DeGrazia, Mr. DeGrazio was a lifelong Franklin resident.
Mr. DeGrazio graduated from Franklin High School in 1935.
He had worked as a postal clerk at the Franklin Post Office for 37 years before retiring.
He had previously worked at the Franklin Yarn Mill, The Hayward Mill, and at the Raytheon Company in Newton.
Mr. DeGrazio served in the Army during World War II he attained the rank of Tech. 5th Grade.
Mr. DeGrazio was awarded the World War II Victory Medal.
He was a member of the DAV, the VFW, the Franklin Senior Citizens Club and AARP.
He enjoyed bowling, playing bocce ball and especially being with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughters Mary Jane Molloy and Carol Costello of Franklin and Susan Sousa of Kennebunk, Maine.
He is also survived his sisters Josephine Brunelli and Eleanor Mele of Franklin. He was the brother of the late Rico and Michael DeGrazia.
He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 5 in St. Mary’s Church at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9:00-9:45 a.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin.
