Obituary

Theresa E. (Doucette) Smeltzer, a resident of Marion Ohio, formerly of Andover and beloved wife of the late Alfred Smeltzer, died on Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at the Community Healthcare Center in Marion, Ohio. She was 89 years old.
She was born in Somerville, Massachusetts, on October 1, 1920. Theresa was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Ballardvale. She had been a bookkeeper for the Shawsheen Rubber Company for more than 28 years.
She was the loving grandmother of Michael Smeltzer and Tina Smeltzer and is also survived by two great-granddaughters, all of Florida. She was also the devoted sister of James Doucette of North Windham, Connecticut, Marguerite Hanson of Seabrook, New Hampshire, Beatrice Yankowski of Brookridge, Florida and Bernice Lynch of Tewksbury and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Edward Smeltzer, brother, Albert Doucette and sisters, Mary Mongale and Celeste Lussier.
Relatives and friends respectfully attended her funeral service on Thursday, November 5, 2009, at 1 PM in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover.
