Visiting Hours in the Carroll Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Forestdale Cemetery, Malden.
Born in Worcester and a resident of Kittery for the last 4 years, George passed away at home early Saturday morning surrounded by his devoted family after a long illness at the age of 81.
A sales representative for Andrew Dutton for over 30 years, George and Donald Morley founded Able Vending, and though he retired in 1996 it is still run by his family.
Mr. Barry was known as the Founding father of the organization of Clubs in the City of Malden, both civic and fraternal and they included the Elks, the Irish American Club, the Malden Moose, the Eagles, the Lions club and the Chamber of Commerce.
George was also a United States Navy Veteran seeing combat action in both World War II and the Korean Conflict.
