Ruth (Dwyer) Langone, 86 years old, died Saturday October 31, 2009 at the home of her son in Bridgewater after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Robert F. Langone. Ruth was born in Boston and raised in Somerville a daughter of the late Peter and Marie (Reardon) Dwyer. For the past several years she had resided in Bridgewater and previously had lived in Brockton for many years.
Ruth was a homemaker devoted to her home and family. Many years ago she worked in the meat department of the BPM/Shaw’s Supermarkets. In her free time Ruth enjoyed reading, bingo and traveling. She had been a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Brockton.
She is survived by a daughter Maureen O’Connor and her husband Kevin of Sanbornville, NH and a son Robert Langone and his wife Paula of Bridgewater. She was the grandmother of John and Stephen Carriuolo, Eric Langone and Lisa Berard. She was the great grandmother of Mia, Jack and Peter Carriuolo, Ashlyn Langone, Ellie Berard, Nathan and Callie Carriuolo. She was the sister of the late Peter Dwyer.
Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday at 8 am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9 am. Burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 11:15am. Visiting hours Monday 4-7 pm.
