Obituary

Worcester- Charles “Chuckie” Markarian, 46, passed away on Friday October 30, 2009 in St. Vincent Hospital. He leaves his wife, Constance (Fitzsimmons) Markarian, a step-son Andy Cavan, daughters Catherine and her identical twin Cara Markarian; son Charles Markarian Jr. and his twin Kelly Markarian all of Worcester. Chuckie also leaves a brother Harry and his wife Laura Markarian of LeGrand California; a sister, Diana Markarian of Rutland; his grandmother Veronica Kargosian of Westboro; and several other relatives and friends.

Chuckie was born in Chicago, IL, son of the late Harry and Eileen (Sloniker) Markarian. He graduated from Burncoat Sr. High School and worked for many years as a contractor. Chuckie proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was a member of the Iron Workers Union Local #57.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 from 6-8:00 p.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln Street Worcester. Burial will be in Westborough at a later date at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Markarian Children’s Fund c/o Country Bank,Main Street, Paxton, MA 01612.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff in the ICU at St. Vincent's Hospital and the staff and friends of the Veterans Shelter on Grove Street Worcester.
