Elizabeth (Camara) Pereira, age 88, of Lakeville & formerly of Somerset, passed away Oct. 29, 2009. Widow of Antonio Pereira & daughter of the late Lucio Ponte E. Camara and Maria Camara. Prior to retiring, Elizabeth worked as a Weaver for the former Sagamore Mills, & was a past member of St. John of God Church.
She is survived by her son, Antone G. Pereira of Lakeville, MA; 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; several nieces & nephews. She was the sister of the late Manuel Camara and Mary Simmons.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. Monday here at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church, Somerset at 9:00 A.M. Cremation to follow. Calling hours Sunday 4-8 P.M.
