Milton M. Muckenfuss, 92, of Meggett, widower of Mary Wanda Muckenfuss died Thursday, October 29, 2009 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 1 o’clock at Calvary Baptist Church, Meggett. Burial will follow at Christ-St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Cemetery, Yonges Island.
A gathering of friends and family will be held immediately after the burial at Calvary Baptist Fellowship Hall.

Pleasant, SC 29464. Mr. Muckenfuss was born July 30, 1917 in Meggett, SC, son of the late Thomas David Muckenfuss and Janie Postell Muckenfuss. After his mother died when he was two years old, he was lovingly fostered by the late Dr. Richard R. and Mrs. Claudia Prentiss. He was a graduate of St. Paul’s High School. He served in the United States Navy and retired from the United States Coastguard Reserves. He retired from Sears Roebuck as warehouse manager and was a member and deacon of Calvary Baptist Church, Meggett. A better example for living was never set.
Surviving are: 2 daughters: Marsha Muckenfuss Blandenburg (John) of Meggett, SC and Mary Sharon Muckenfuss Phillips (Robert) of Donalds, SC, 1 son: Milton Prentiss Muckenfuss (Marilyn) of Charleston, SC, 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
