Mary Teresa (Athy) Robertson, 74, of Mattapoisett died Friday August 29, 2003 unexpectedly at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford. She was the wife of the late James D. Robertson.
Born in Brookline, she lived in Mattapoisett for the past 50 years.
Mrs. Robertson was formerly employed as a visiting home health aide for St. Luke's Hospital for 25 years until her retirement. She maintained a perfect attendance record at work.
Besides her work, Mary's passions included spending time with her family, traveling the world, sunbathing and swimming at Ned's Point Lighthouse Beach, following New England sports, and keeping current with world events.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Suzanne Robertson of Mattapoisett and Cynthia Robertson of Tallahassee, Florida; 3 sons, Bruce Robertson of Hingham, Mark Robertson of Mattapoisett, and Scott Robertson of South Dartmouth; 2 sisters, Patricia Dunton of Needham and Margaret Anderson of Plymouth; 9 grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.She was the mother of the late James Robertson.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd., Route 6, Mattapoisett Tuesday Septemebr 2, 2003 at 9 AM.Funeral Mass at St. Anthony's Church at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Monday September 1, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
