Obituary

Harry E. Hodgerney, Sr., 72 of 3 Spinnaker Dr., died Wednesday, Oct. 28 at home following a long illness.

He leaves his wife of 34 years, Sally J. (Martin) Hodgerney, his daughter Leslie M. Murzycki and her husband Coy of Spencer with whom he lived, his sons Harry E. Hodgerney, Jr. and William R. Hodgerney both of Spencer, his four grandsons who were the “light of his life”; Anthony Corbosiero of Naples, Fl., Michael Corbosiero, Andrew and Christopher Murzycki of Spencer, two sisters, nieces and nephews.

He was a machinist for 30 years at Brookfield Machine Co. in Brookfield before retiring in 2002.

Born in Worcester, he was the son of Leslie and Mary E. (Albro) Hodgerney. He later served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the 1st. Congregational Church of Spencer, and the Gaudette-Kirk Post 138 American Legion.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 31 at 11a.m. in the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. A calling hour will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to UMASS Memorial Hospice, 650 Lincoln St., Worcester, 01605.
