Maria (Botelho Carvalho) Moniz, age 75 of Fall River, passed away Oct. 28, 2009. Widow of Agostinho Pimentel Moniz. Born in Maia, Sao Miguel, Azores, the daughter of the late Manuel Carvalho Freitas and Maria (Rosario) Botelho Carvalho. She was a homemaker & a member of St. Michael Church.
She is survived by 9 Children: Eugenio Pimentel of Fall River, Fatima Camara of Fall River; Joe Pimentel of Westport, Natalia Tavares of Fall River, Manuel Pimentel of Somerset, Daniel Moniz, Celia Correia, Agostinho Pimentel all of Fall River and Dina Moniz of Florida. 16 grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren; 4 brothers, a sister; & many nieces & nephews. She was the mother of the late Carlos Moniz, and had three deceased siblings.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St. Friday at 9:30AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church at 10:30AM. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours Thursday 5-9 PM.
