Anthony V. “Tony” Centrella, Sr., 89 of Medford, died Monday unexpectedly in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Medford, MA.
Born in Medford, he lived all his life in Medford and was the son of the late Margaret (Imbriano) and Gaetano Centrella. Tony was a Carpenter at the former Deran's Confectionary in Cambridge for 20 years and retired in 1972. Late US Army veteran of WW II from 1942-1945.
Beloved husband of the late Mary (Mini) Centrella. Devoted father of Anthony V. Centrella Jr. of New Hampshire and the late Lorraine Lucia. Loving grandfather of Michele, Jenniece and Aaron. Loving great grandfather of Blake, Mia Rose, and Aiden. Brother of Guy Centrella, Mildred Garneau both of Medford and the late Marion Armstrong, Louis, Rose, Anna and Virginia Centrella.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Friday at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St. Medford at 11 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Thursday 4-8.
Interment will be private.
