Cecilia Rose Miller, 91, of Londonderry, died Tuesday at the Parkland Medical Center in Derry. Cecilia was born March 28, 1918 in Brooklyn, NY to the late John and Anne (Cavannagh) Connor. Mrs. Miller was formerly of Mineola, NY where she belonged to many organizations. While here, she was a member of the Londonderry Senior Center and enjoyed knitting, dancing, reading and more than anything else, spending time with her granddaughters. She will long be remembered to her loving family as Mom, Nana or Aunt Celie.
Mrs. Miller leaves her daughter, Carol and her husband Richard Scheele of Londonderry. She also leaves her grandchildren, Christine Scheele of Seattle, WA, Catherine Scheele of New York, NY and her sister Agnes Ryan of Hicksville, NY and her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 5 siblings and by her husband, John J. Miller in 1989.
The graveside services were held Friday October 30, 2009 at the Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton NY at 1pm. Donations in memory of Mrs. Miller may be directed to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
