LEICESTER; Doris E. (Maryea) LaPine,87 of 114 Pine St., died Tuesday, October 27 in St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester after a brief illness.
She was the wife of Francis S. LaPine, Sr., who died in 2001. She leaves three sons Lawrence F. LaPine of Leicester, Francis S. LaPine, Jr. and his wife Beverly of Spencer and Gerald L. LaPine of Fonthill, Ontario, Canada, and his wife Lucia, two daughters Alma A. Lemieux of Leicester and Pearl D. Vincent and her husband Victor Vincent, Sr. of Leicester, a brother George Maryea of Bradenton, Fl., a sister Elsie Ouelette of Rochester, N.Y., five grandchildren Michael LaPine, Victor Vincent, Jr. and his partner, Sarah Bergeron, Francis Vincent and his wife Eden, Laura Yorsten and her husband Steve, Stephen Sterczala and his fiancée Cindy Reisbeck, four great grandchildren Rana Lapine, Justin and Jenna Vincent and Bryan Vincent, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son David G. LaPine in 2000 and a son in law Armand Lemieux in 2002.
Mrs. LaPine was an original member of St. Pius X Church where she was a longtime house keeper in the rectory and still helped clean the church linens. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards, knitting and crochet and especially time spent with her family.
Born in Amesbury, Ma., she was the daughter of Harry N. and Alma (LaValley) Maryea.
The funeral will be held on Friday, October 30 from the MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, 1161 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
