Margaret K. Pierce, age 87, passed away October 16th, at the Carson Tahoe Hospital in Carson City, Nevada. She was the beloved wife of the late Edgar L. “Larry” Pierce.
Born in Winchester, MA she was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Doherty) Nelson.
Mrs. Pierce moved from Woburn where she lived for over 85 years to Wellington, Nevada in 2007 to live with her son, daughter and granddaughter. Margaret loved to dance and would often be seen dancing her way through the grocery store if the music had a good beat, she became known as “the dancing lady”. During her time in Nevada she attended the Smith Valley United Methodist Church with her daughter. Her sweet smile and cute giggle will be sorely missed by all that knew her.
Mrs. Pierce is survived by her children, Lawrence Pierce and Jeanne Pierce both of Nevada. She was the loving grandmother of Noelle and Peter Ittner. Sister of George Nelson and his wife Lillian of Medford. Sister-in-law of Jeanne Tedesco and her husband Bob, Marilyn Piazza and her husband Angelo, Martha Grigg, Florence Foster and her husband Neil, David Pierce and his wife Betty, Sandra Proia, Bob Pierce, Frances (Carey) Pierce.
A graveside service will be conducted at the Calvary Cemetery, Central St., Woburn, Friday, October 30th, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours at the McLaughlin – Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, will be held Thursday from 4 thru 8.
