Obituary

Martha F. (Godfrin) Circone, 95, of Brewster and a former longtime Franklin resident, died peacefully Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009, following an extended period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Robert M. Circone Sr., who died in 1969.
Born in Woonsocket, May 6, 1914, a daughter of the late Henri and Catherine (LeCruivre) Godfrin, she was raised and educated in Woonsocket, and had lived in Franklin for more than 75 years before moving to Brewster several years ago.
She was a retired textile worker, having been employed at the former Yarn Spun in Medway and the Franklin Yarn Co.
She was a life member of Franklin Lodge # 1414 Sons of Italy in Franklin, enjoyed knitting, and was a former communicant of St. Mary's Church in Franklin.
She is survived by a son: Robert M. Circone Jr. and his wife, Patricia of Franklin, 2 daughters: Terry M. Malin and her husband, John of Napa, Calif., Martha Cloran and her husband, James of Brewster, three grandchildren: Mark A. Petitt, April L. Petitt, Jacqueline L. Circone, and two great-grandsons.

She was the sister of the late: Peter and Henri Godfrin, Marianne Kappelle, Louise Noel, and Beatrice DuPont.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Wednesday, at 9:15 a.m., from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage St., Franklin, www.franklinfuneral.com, with a funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, Franklin at 10 a.m. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Calling hours are Tuesday 5-7 p.m.

The Franklin Lodge Sons of Italy will conduct a ritual service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
