Manchester NH– Raymond R. Lafreniere, 67 died October 23, 2009 at the V.A. Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was born in Central Falls RI. On October 11, 1942 the son of Roger and Jeannette (St. Onge) Lafreniere.
He served his country in the U. S. Navy.
He was employed by the Manchester Transit Authority as a bus driver.
He was a member of American Legion Henry J. Sweeney Post, and Post 79.
He enjoyed volunteering at the V.A. Medical Center and to anyone who needed a helping hand.
He was predeceased by his wife Patricia Ann Lafreniere in 1997.
Family members include 4 sons, Billy R. Lafreniere, and Robert Lafreniere, both of Manchester, NH, Raymond Lafreniere Jr., Christopher Lafreniere, both of Pawtucket, RI., 2 daughters, Hidi Eschrich, Laura Lafreniere Kearns, of Harrisville RI., several grandchildren, 4 brothers, Donald Lafreniere, Richard Lafreniere, Roland Lafreniere, Bertrand Lafreniere, and one sister Claudette Gala.
A Memorial reception will be on Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm at J. N. Boufford & sons Funeral Home 110 Bridge St. Manchester NH.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the V.A. Medical Center, 718 Smyth Rd, Manchester NH 03014.
