Obituary


Charles E. Lindsay, age 70, formerly of Stoughton, passed away at his home in Orlando, Florida on Saturday October 17, 2009. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Maxine ( Steele ) Lindsay, his two sons Christopher and spouse Doug of Tampa, Florida and Peter and his wife Jane of North Carolina. Mr. Lindsay was pre – deceased by his first wife Penny ( Barker ) Lindsay. Charlie was a Stoughton Firefighter for 32 years until his retirement in 1997 and also proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was also employed by Shaw’s Supermarkets and Disney, Inc.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday October 25, 2009 from 4 – 7 P.M. in the Sheehan Funeral Home, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton.



Graveside funeral services with military honors and a rendition of TAPS by Charlies son Christopher will be held on Monday October 26, 2009 at 10 A.M. in the Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. NOTE: Funeral procession to the cemetery will be forming at the funeral home at 9:15 A.M. on Monday morning. ALL are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations in Charlie’s memory are asked to be forwarded to the MSPCA, 350 Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130.
