Beloved wife of J. Kevin Duffy died with her loving and adoring husband by her side after courageously battling pancreatic and liver cancer for the past year.
Jacqueline and Kevin, who were best friends, were married September 21, 1996 in Buzzards Bay, Ma. As many of their friends have commented over the past few days, “Jacquie and Kevin had it all” and “They brought out the best in each other.”
Jacqueline is survived not only be her husband, Kevin, but also by her parents, Martin and Gertrude Hering of Coram, LI, NY, her son specialist Jason Ondik, US Army, her daughter Ryan Christine Ondik of Attleboro and her brother Edward Barrett of Farmingdale, LI, NY.
She is also survived by her stepson, Keith Duffy and his wife Meridith and their two daughters, Isabella and Grace, of Braintree, her step daughter, Erin of Portsmouth, NH, and her step son, Craig, of Franklin.
She is also survived by her life-long friends, Barbara and Joe Ennis of Jupiter, Fla., Elinore Stockley of Worcester, and many other very close and dear friends.
Jacqueline’s professional career consisted of holding several executive assistant roles. These roles included the executive assistant to the Treasurer of Reebok International, Ltd. She concluded her professional career as executive assistant to the founding partners of Prism Venture Partners.
Jacqueline was a quintessential gardener, landscaper, and interior decorator. She enjoyed and loved her parents, her children, and her friends, traveling, golfing, the beach and the sun, and entertaining especially on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Her funeral will be held on Monday, October 26 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. Franklin at 9:15 followed by a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church, Mansfield at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends invited; calling hours Sunday 5-8 p.m.
Interment private.
