Obituary

Peter A. Ciccarone, 49, of Salem, NH died unexpectedly Wed. Oct. 21st at his home.

Peter was born and educated in Danbury, CT, graduating from Immaculate High School in Danbury and the Culinary Institute of America. Peter owned and operated Sovran Asset Strategies. He previously worked for Putnam Investments in Andover, MA. Prior to that, he was a licensed Real Estate Broker, working fro Hampstead Associates and Norwood Realty before opening his own Real Estate Brokerage, Online Real Estate. He began his professional career working in contract food service management for companies like Deka and ARA Services. Peter was a member of Centerpoint Community Church in Salem.

Peter was a devoted husband and father. He was a talented handyman who enjoyed working on projects around his home, such as building a deck, and he liked yard work. Peter was an avid news junkie, especially financial news. He liked cooking and was an avid rock and roll fan and attended numerous concerts.

Before fatherhood became a top priority, he was an active volunteer, serving as a member of the Greater Salem Jaycees, as an Incorporator and board member of the Salem Holiday Parade Committee and as a volunteer coach for the Salem Olympic Devils Special Olympics team. He gave of his time and talents to numerous other community organizations, mostly in the background, desiring no recognition.

Peter was predeceased by his father, Alfred Ciccarone, his mother-in-law’s fiancé, Francis DeKavis and his sister-in-law Therese Duhamel.

Nieces and Nephews: Peter and Amanda Maher of Salem, NH, Allison Duhamel of Lowell, MA and Casey, Jessy and Sam Warren of Derry, NH

Funeral Services will be held Tues. Oct. 27th at 10 AM at Centerpoint Community Church, Salem, NH.

Calling hours will be held Mon. Oct. 26th from 3-7 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main Street, Salem, NH.
