BEVERLY FARMS: Catherine V. “Kay” (Daley) Le Clerc, 85, died at her residence Thursday morning, October 22, 2009 following an extended illness. She was the wife of the late William G. Le Clerc, who died in November of 2008.
Born in Beverly Farms on February 12, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Mary E. (Cormican) Daley. She was a lifelong resident of Beverly Farms and attended St. Mary’s High School in Beverly.
Mrs. Le Clerc was one of the first women on the West Beach Board of Directors. She was also a member of the Beverly Grange No. 306 and was active in the Friends of the Beverly Library.
She is survived by children, William C., husband of Catherine Le Clerc of Acton, Catherine Le Clerc of Aliso Viejo, CA, David P., husband of Lisa Le Clerc of Tallmadge, OH, Richard J. Le Clerc of Miami, FL and Mary, wife of Gary Bushey of Beverly. She also leaves two sisters, Bernadine F., wife of Richard Dooley and Ruth E., wife of William Wiseman, eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her siblings, The Reverend John A. Daley, Ellen T. Morin, Robert E. Daley and Mary A. Melody.
Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday morning in the St. Margaret’s Church, Hale Street, Beverly Farms at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Monday in the Grondin Funeral Home, 376 Cabot Street, Beverly from 5 – 8 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Beverly Farms Library, 24 Vine St., Beverly, MA 01915 or the Alzheimer’s Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472. Interment will be held in the Beverly Farms Cemetery.
