Marion “Eileen” Carroll, 63, passed away at home in Wakefield on October 21st, 2009. She was born in Boston on May 20th, 1946 to her parents Dickson and Sara (Eye) Theall. Eileen was also raised and educated in Boston, graduating from Jeremiah Burke High School. She earned her certificate as a Medical Secretary from Chamberlain Junior College. For many years, she worked as a Medical Secretary at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and also worked for private medical offices in the local area. Eileen was a homemaker who enjoyed traveling with her husband and her family. She was avid gardener and also enjoyed being a member of Admiral’s Hill Yacht Club in Chelsea. She is survived by her husband, John Carroll; by her children; Matthew Carroll and his wife Rebecca of Westford, Tara Roper and her husband John of Woodstock, Georgia, Daniel Carroll of Wakefield and Christopher Carroll and his wife Alana of Burlington; and by her grandchildren; Tommy, Josh, Madelyn, Grace, Caroline, Katie, Maggie, Jacob, Caiden and Jaycie. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Saturday October 24th at 8 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 9 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in West Peabody. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday October 23rd from 4-8 PM.
