Lawrence, MA- Olga (Dmytrow) Grasso, 91, died Thursday, October 22nd ,2009 at the Mary Immaculate Nursing and Rehabilitations Center in Lawrence, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on December 19th, 1917 in Lawrence, Olga was the daughter of John and Sophie Dmytrow. A former attendant of St. Monica’s Church, Olga was a generous and caring person and would do anything she could to help others. Family was very important to her. She enjoyed cooking, especially for those she loved as well as sewing and was always there when others needed support or friendship.
Widow of the late Michael Grasso, Olga will be sadly missed by her daughter Marlene and her husband Richard Croteau of Lawrence, their daughter, Michelle Tagliaferri and her husband Elio of Bradford, and their children Sofia and Isabella, her sisters, Helen Borysek of Methuen and her son Thomas Borysek, a special nephew whom Olga considered to be a son, and Mary Hamel and her husband Walter of Nottingham, NH, and her brother John Dmytrow of Lawrence, as well as a daughter in-law Phyllis Grasso of Methuen. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michael Grasso, Thomas Grasso, and Donna Shea as well as great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Olga was also pre deceased by her son Theodore Grasso.
ARRANGEMENTS: At the family’s request calling hours will be private. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Monica’s Church on Monday morning, October 26 at 10:30, with burial to follow at Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence.
