Daniel J. Shay, 59, of Londonderry, NH died Saturday October 17, 2009 in Oldsmar, FL following a sudden illness. Mr. Shay was born in Lowell, MA on November 7, 1949, son of the late Kenneth and Amelia (Collins) Shay. He had resided in Londonderry for the past 23 years, formerly living in Lowell. Mr. Shay was employed as a sprinkler fitter with Union Local 550 of Boston, MA.
He is survived by his wife, Laureen P. (Langill) Shay of Londonderry, three sons, Daniel Shay, Kenneth Shay and Kevin Shay all of Londonderry, his daughter, November Shay of Londonderry, his grandson, John Shay of Londonderry, one brother, Ray Shay of Dracut, MA, two sisters, Carol Cuddy of Dracut, MA and Sharon Gaudette of Las Vegas, NV, also several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were held on Friday October 23, 2009 from 5 – 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Funeral services was held on Saturday at 10:00am in the funeral home with cremation to follow.
