Nancy M. (Peterson) Carlson, 80, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2009 in the Beaumont Nursing Home in Westboro.
She leaves a son, David J. Carlson and his wife Alison Wiles of Highland, CA; 4 daughters, Ann and her husband Daniel Carlson of Sturbridge, Lynn Carlson-LeBlanc and her husband George LeBlanc of Westford, Nancy Kidd Brown and her husband Richard Brown of Westboro, and Sally Carlson and her husband Richard Ross of Washington, DC. Nancy was the beloved grandmother of Sarah, Andrew and Leslie Carlson, Nicole and Rachel LeBlanc, Jesse Kidd, and Timothy and Lauren Keane and Clare Carlson. She also leaves 3 sisters, Lois Oosterman of Bainbridge, GA, JoAnn Paro of Worcester, and Lee Peterson of Stowe; and many nieces and nephews.
Nancy was predeceased by her husband Albert E. Carlson, 3 brothers, John Peterson, Alan Peterson, and Howard Peterson, and 3 sisters, Elizabeth Hulbert, Dorothy Plaisance, and Sally Peterson.
Nancy was born in Worcester, daughter of Laura G. (Wood) and John L. Peterson. She graduated from South High School and the Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a nurse for many years at Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 23, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in Emanuel Lutheran Church 200 Greenwood St. Worcester. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2009 from 4:00-7:00 p.m in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at a later date.
