Shahzade , Ann Mary (Skenian) of Falmouth, formerly of Arlington, October 17, 2009. Beloved daughter of the late Nazar and Mary Skenian. Devoted mother of Joyce O'Connor of Falmouth, John Shahzade and his wife Catherine of Del Ray Beach, FL, David Shahzade and his wife Edina of Falmouth, MA and Edward Shahzade of Falmouth, MA. Loving grandmother of Lauren and Brooke O,Connor, Katelin and Lindsay Shahzade, Heather and Holly Shahzade and Christian, Matthew and John Shahzade. Sister of Jake Skenian and his wife Mary of Del Ray Beach, FL. Aunt of Karen and Michael Skenian. Niece of the late Dr. Agnes Israelian. Ann was a graduate of Emerson College, where she earned her Master's degree . She was a founder of the Speech, Language and Hearing Clinic at Children's Hospital. Ann was also credited with building the City of Cambridge, MA Speech, language and hearing department into an internationally recognized model. In addition, Ann was active member of Holy Trinity Armenian Church in Cambridge where she was instrumental in the women ministries programs.
Funeral services will be held at Holy Trinity Armenian Church ,145 Brattle Street Cambridge on Friday October 23 at 12 noon. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the Aram Bedrosian Funeral Home, 558 Mount Auburn Street, Watertown on Thursday from 5 - 8 p.m. Memorial gifts may be made in Ann's memory to Dana- Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, Brookline, MA 02445. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington, MA.
