Judith A. (James) Bartlett, age 55, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2009 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after a long illness. For 23 years, she was the beloved wife of James H. Bartlett.
She was born in Lowell on July 27, 1954, a daughter of the late John and Eileen (Quigley) James. Judy was a longtime resident of Medford and was formerly of Marlborough and Lowell.
Prior to her illness, Judy was a counselor with MARCAP at Marlborough Hospital for five years. Earlier in her life, She was a hairdresser in the Lowell area.
Judy enjoyed fashion and collecting jewelry. She also loved trips to the beach and her dogs, Molly and Chewey.
Besides her husband, James, she is survived by her brother and sisters, Gail Dalton of Nashua, Gary James of Lowell, Phyllis Carignan and her husband Donald of Nashua and Barbara Fauvel of Dracut; close friends, Beverley Rivers of Northborough and Sandra Hinds of Southborough; also many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Anna "Nancy" Stephen, William, Peggy and Jack James.
Relatives and friends may call at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell on Wednesday, Oct. 21 from 4 to 8pm. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Michael Church, Lowell. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery.
