AUBURN___Mary E. (Zaleski) Grzelak, 86, of Auburn, died Friday, October 16, 2009 in UMASS Memorial Medical Center, 55 Lake Ave North, Worcester. Her husband of 49 years, Stanley J. Grzelak died in 1994.
She leaves nephews and nieces including Donna & Mike Boyle and Kevin McCabe and great nieces, great nephews, great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. She was predeceased by five sisters, Stella Zaleska, Sophie Davis, Jennie Ernst, Rita McCabe and Helen Wrubel. She was born in Worcester, a daughter of Jacob and Eleanora (Ermanski) Zaleski and has lived in Auburn for many years.
Mrs. Grzelak was a press operator 20 years for Pres Met Corp. and retired in 1989. She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, Worcester.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 20 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street, Worcester with a Mass at 11:00 A.M. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street, Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. A calling hour will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, Oct. 20 from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
