Adam A. Gary, 76 of Fitchburg, died Wednesday October 14, at Health
Alliance Leominster Hospital.Adam was born in Marlinton, West Virginia,
December 13, 1932, the son of William Clinton and Mattie Ella (Stewart)
Gary.
Adam was a career U.S.Army veteran and served a total of 23 years in
Korea, Germany and Vietnam. At the time of his retirement in 1972, he was
serving with Co. A. 2nd Bn. 32d ARM, 3rd Armored Division. He retired with
the rank of Staff Sargeant.
Adam leaves his son Adam A. Gary Jr. in Ohio, and his step-sons Clayton
J. Valliere and Joseph A. Valliere both of Fitchburg. He is also survived by
his daughters Jacqueline Robinson and Shirley Gary both of West Virginia.
Several grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Five brothers and two sisters died before him.
Funeral services and calling hours for Adam will be held on Tuesday
October 20, from 7 to 9 P.M. in the Bosk Funeral Home 85 Blossom St.
Pastor Howard Shadd will officiate. Following cremation burial will be in
Forest Hill Cemetery.
