Ralph L. Berardi, 80 of Leominster formerly of Bellingham and Franklin died October 18 in the Health Alliance-Leominster Hospital in Leominster; he was the husband of Therese (Damplo) Berardi.
Born in Bellingham, September 10, 1929 the son of the late George and Ethel (Bennet) Berardi, Mr. Berardi was raised in Bellingham and had lived in Franklin for 20 years before moving to Leominster 20 years ago.
Mr. Berardi had worked for the First National Grocery Store for 37 years, retiring as a manager.
Mr. Berardi served in the Naval Reserve during the late 1940’s.
Mr. Bernardi had been a member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed woodworking, making model airplanes and collecting coins.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Donna Flavin of Sun City California, Ralph L. Berardi II of Clinton, Stephen Berardi of Shrewsbury, Terri Manseau of Holden and Christine Bodily of San Antonio Texas.He is also survived by his brother Michael Berardi of Framingham and sister Esther Cichanowicz of Lakeland Florida.
He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, October 22 from the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St., Medway at 9:15 followed by a funeral mass in St. Joseph’s Church at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m.
