WORCESTER-John E. Dwyer, 81, of Worcester, died Thursday, October 15th in Saint Vincent Hospital. He leaves his wife of 41 years, Marilyn (LeDoux) Dwyer; a son, John M. Dwyer; a daughter, Colleen M. Dwyer both of Worcester and three nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Earl W. Dwyer.
Mr. Dwyer was born in West Springfield, the son of Earl and Josephine (McGrath) Dwyer. John worked as service technician for 15 years for 3M retiring in 1994 and previously worked at SCM for many years. He was a graduate of South High School and a member of Saint Charles Borromeo Church. John was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War. He enjoyed watching auto racing and working on his computer.
The funeral will be held on Monday, October 19th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Charles Borromeo Church, 341 June Street. Burial will be in Saint John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday, October 18th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
