George P. Porcaro, 67 of Medford and Deerfield Beach, Florida died Wednesday after a brief illness in the Mt. Auburn Hospital, Cambridge, MA.
Born in Chelsea, he lived in Medford for the past 43 years. George was a Facility Supervisor at Babson College for 15 years and retired in 2005. He also was awarded Employee of the Year in 2004. George was a former Coach of the West Medford Hillside Little League, past President of St. Joseph Church Athletic Board and a member of the Arlington Men’s’ Club.
Beloved husband of 43 years to Ann (Matarese) Porcaro. Devoted father of Christopher G. Porcaro and his wife Kristine of Windham, NH, Jennifer Mingolelli and her husband Marc of Needham. Proud grandfather of Emma and Grace Porcaro, Amanda and Lyndsay Mingolelli. Cherished son of Emilio Porcaro of East Boston and the late Antoinette (Aulino). Brother of Frank Porcaro and his wife Cynthia of Mashpee. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Monday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church 118 High St. Medford at 10 AM.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
Visiting hours Sunday 4-8.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
