Albert J. Rosa, 99, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at Baypointe Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Brockton on Thursday, October 15. He was the husband of the late Marion (Oliver) Rosa and Kathleen (Koen) Rosa. Born and educated in Bridgewater, he was a resident of Stoughton since 1966. Mr. Rosa was a machinist at Independent Nail in Bridgewater for 40 years before retiring in 1975. In his free time he enjoyed gardening and building.
Mr. Rosa is survived by his children, Loretta J. Medina of Bridgewater, Robert E. Rosa and Daniel J. Rosa both of Stoughton, Mary A. Gendron of FL and Donna L. Gregory of East Bridgewater. He was the brother of the late Anthony Rosa, Joseph Rosa, Mary Cronis and Manuel Rosa. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 103 Center St., Bridgewater on Monday, October 19 at 9 AM. Visiting Hours will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Sunday 2-5 PM. Burial will take place at St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery in Bridgewater.
