Arielle K. DaCosta age 20 of Stoughton passed away unexpectedly October 6th while studying abroad in Salamanca, Spain. She was a lifelong resident of Stoughton and attended Thatcher Montessori School in Milton, she graduated Cum Laude from Dana Hall in Wellesley in 2007 where she was the Editor and Chief of the school newspaper. Arielle was currently a junior at Georgetown University where she was a Comparative Literature Major. She was fluent in four languages and her love of language & travel directed her academic pursuits as she spent two summers studying abroad and had planned to spend both semesters of her junior year in Europe. While on campus at Georgetown her love of music led her to play an active role in the Georgetown Radio Station WGTB. She spent two semesters as a music board of director and three semesters as co-host of a radio show called “Quirky Quips.” She also had a deep love for animals and always treated them with love and respect. Beloved daughter of Linda K. (Pratt) & James H. DaCosta of Stoughton. Loving half-sister of Danielle Currier of Beverly & Nichole DaCosta of Berlin. Granddaughter of Mary & Lincoln Pratt of Ohio & Agnes & Herbert DaCosta of New Bedford. Also survived by many aunts, uncles & cousins and friends worldwide. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Sunday 4-8 pm. Funeral mass at the Immaculate Conception Church Stoughton Monday morning at 10:30.
