Degnan, Thomas J. of Marshfield, Oct 12, at the age of 29. Loving son of James H. and Judith A. (Vandenberg) Degnan of Marshfield. Brother of Lauren Santos and her husband Tom of McLean, VA., Christa Manning and her husband Bob of Scituate, Peter Degnan, Kevin Degnan, Joanna Degnan, Mark Degnan all of Marshfield and Amy Degnan of Middletown, RI. Uncle of Madeline and William Santos and Maeve and Ronan Manning. Also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends. Thomas was born in Plymouth and has been a life long resident of Marshfield; He graduated from Marshfield High School class of 1999 and was a member of the MHS Lacrosse team and Captain of the MHS Wrestling team. Tom was a talented artist and received a “best in show’ award in the 1998 Congressional Art Competition, his pastel still life was displayed at the US Capital for one year with the works of other students from across the country.
Funeral from the MacDonald Funeral Home 1755 Ocean, Rte 139 Marshfield Friday at 9:00 am
followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Careswell St. Marshfield, at 10:00 am.
Visiting hours Thursday from 4 to 8 pm.
Interment will be held at a later date.
