James David "Jimmy" Henderson, 52, of Brookfield died Saturday, October 10, 2009, at his residence following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2009, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Tommy Register will officiate with burial to follow in Lawrence Cemetery. Butch Coarsey, Carroll Coarsy, Buck McCranie, Ed Fussell, Mike Henderson and Crow Green will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Gaskins, Johnny Walker, Donnie Pearson and Will Webb. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Henderson was born on September 1, 1957 in San Antonio, Texas and was the son of Donald Henderson of Tifton and the late Hallie Marie Coarsey Henderson. He was a farmer and a member of Inaha Baptist Church. He was a lifetime resident of the Tiftarea.
In addition to his father, Mr. Henderson is survived by his wife, Sonya Barnes Henderson of Brookfield; two sons and daughters-in-law, Clay and Kelli Henderson of Dublin and Chad and Jennifer Sigmon Henderson of Dublin; one brother, Chuck Henderson of Waterloo; and four sisters, Kathy Smith of Tifton, Donna Yancey of Greensboro, South Carolina, Laurel Lee Pearson of Enigma and Charlotte Webb of Vanceville.
