Pauline L. (Lavoie) Silva, 63, of Methuen, MA was called home, peacefully, Friday October 9, 2009 with her family by her side. She was born in Lawrence, MA on May 29, 1946, daughter of the late Lillian B. (Levesque) Lavoie. She is survived by her daughter and best friend Renee P. Silva also of Methuen, MA, a loving sister Lorraine T. (Lavoie) Messina of Derry, NH, a loving brother Gerard W. Lavoie of Methuen, MA, several special nieces and nephews, special friends and also predeceased by Brothers Eugene Lavoie and Robert Lavoie.
Pauline was a loving mother (Mama), who dedicated and sacrificed every single day of her life, for her daughter Renee. They shared the most special, indescribable, untouchable relationship that any mother and daughter could possibly ever have wanted to share. Truly, the light of each other’s lives. She worked so very hard her entire life. She currently worked for the Presentation of Mary St. Claire residence, in Methuen MA and had been working there for a great number of years.
Pauline was also a Memere, to her daughter's dog Beavis. Most recently she loved and adored Harry, their dog and newest family member. A very bubbly spirit, with smiling eyes, a sincere, sensitive and caring soul, who loved laughing and being silly, is how she will best be remembered. Pauline was pure love, special and rare, a true gift from God. She was the best Mama in the whole world and her loss will be felt forever. She is now home, safe and sound, in the arms of the Lord.
There are no visiting hours. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated 11:00am Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, formerly St. Theresa’s Parish, 22 Plymouth St., Methuen, MA. Burial followed at Holy Cross Cemetery, Londonderry, NH. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St. is in charge of the arrangements.
