Eleanor Bussiere, known and loved as “Tinker”, died peacefully on October 10 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House, Haverhill, MA, at the age of 84. She was previously deceased by her infant daughter Karen, and is lovingly survived by her husband, Kirk Bussiere; daughters Brenda Shea, Jackie Vance; son Kevin Bussiere; brothers Ronald and James Donohoe; sisters Janet McLean, Patricia Durkan; grandchildren William and Donald Shea, Jason Vance, Kayla Vance Maxson, Miranda & Michael Bussiere; great grandchildren Kaitlyn and Alexander Shea, and Tara Vance
Tinker was a vivacious and feisty woman, whose love of life did not go unnoticed. She enjoyed skiing, knitting, card making, traveling, the beach, and the theater. She was born in Woburn, MA and after many years of raising her family in North Andover, MA she moved to Hampstead, NH, where she was an active member of their retirement community for 35 years.
Tinker was a loving and amazing wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. As the oldest of 11, mother of 4, grandmother of 6, great grandmother of 3, and friend to dozens, there was never a shortage of people to love and she was always there to do just that.
While the loss of Eleanor “Tinker” Bussiere will be difficult to bear, we are comforted by the knowledge that she as found peace and rest and will no longer be afflicted by the troubles of old age.
