Gilbert Rocha Sr., age 86 of Fall River, passed away on October 9, 2009. Husband of Irene (Ventura) Rocha and son of the late Manuel and Marion (Cabral) Rocha. He was a parishioner of SS Peter & Paul Parish a U.S. Army Veteran of WW II. Before retiring, Gilbert was a Supervisor at J&J Corrugated Box Co. for 33 yrs. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W., Tiverton, and the St. John’s Club, Fall River. Gil enjoyed traveling & visiting many places in the U. S. and aboard.
Besides his wife, he is survived by 2 Children: Antoinette “Toni” Estrella and her husband Bernard of Tiverton, and Gilbert Rocha Jr. and Deborah of Fall River. 4 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren, & several nieces & nephews. He was also brother of the late George & Jimmy Rocha, Mary Pereira, and Bella Trinidade.
His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 No. Main St. Tuesday at 10:00AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Saints Peter & Paul Parish at Holy Cross Church at 11:00AM.
