Obituary

Carlton H. Hamblin Sr “Gramps”, of Plymouth, passed away at home on October 7th at the age of 84 surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his beloved wife Doris (Curtin) of Plymouth and his children Donna Knowles of Alberta, Canada, Etta Hinckley of Plymouth, Carlton Jr. “Sonny” of Plymouth, Priscilla Waterman of Plymouth, Daniel Hamblin of NY, Barbara Snider of Plymouth, John Hamblin and his wife Susan of Plymouth, Judith Hamblin of Plymouth, and Mark Hamblin and his wife Angela of FL. He also leaves his brother Ernest Hamblin of Plymouth, 26 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and his son-in-law Kenneth Carpenter. Father of the late Betty Carpenter, brother of the late Russell and Charles Hamblin and Dorothy McGee and father-in-law of the late John Waterman, Sharon Hamblin, Donna Hamblin and Rusty Snider. Carlton was born in Barnstable where he attended Barnstable schools and served in the Army National Guard. He was a commercial fisherman and had worked at the Bayside Marine. He was a member of the American Legion Post 143 in Pembroke. Visiting hours were held on Sunday October 11th at the Richard Davis Funeral Home. The burial will be held on Thursday, October 15th at Vine Hills Cemetery in Plymouth at 10 AM.
