Francis H. "Bud" Murray, 86, of Foster Center Road, a retired cable splicer for Blackstone Valley Electric, died Thursday, October 8, 2009 at Greenville Health Center. He was the husband of Barbara (Dubuque) Murray. They were married for 61 years.
Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Frank and Mary (Choquette) Murray. He had been a resident of Foster since 1976. He was a member of the Gatchell VFW Post in Pawtucket and the American Legion Post 101, Foster. He was also a member of Young at Heart. He was a WWII Navy Veteran.
Besides his wife he is survived by three sons Michael F. Murray of Smithfield, Robert S. Murray and William J. Murray both of Foster, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a brother James Murray of Cumberland. He was the brother of the late Edward and Richard Murray and Claire Loxsom.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 9am from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Paul the Apostle Church, 116A Danielson Pike, Foster, RI 02825. Burial with military honors will follow in Phillips Memorial Cemetery. Visitation Friday 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to St. Paul the Apostle Church.
