SALEM - Mary Frances (Bergeron) Michaud, 90, of Salem, wife of the late Arthur Michaud, died Tuesday evening, October 6, 2009 in the Salem Hospital following a short illness.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Ruth S. (Arrington) Bergeron. and was a graduate of Salem High School in the class of 1937.
Mrs. Michaud was employed by GTE Sylvania at the Ipswich plant, then worked in the mail order department at the Daniel Low Company, Salem for many years until her retirement in 1985.
A lifelong resident of Salem, she was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was a past commander of Unit 84, DAV Ladies Auxiliary in Salem and was the secretary for 25 years of the Franklin Street and Furlong Memorial Park Playground Association.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Charles A and Rosemary Michaud of Randolph, a granddaughter, Jennifer Michaud of Randolph and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Charles W. Bergeron, Jr. and Ralph Bergeron.
Her funeral service will be held Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 10 am in the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem. Visiting hours are Friday, 4 to 8 pm.
