Obituary

Joseph F. DiMarco, 62, of Bellingham, died Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Gloria J. (Calero) DiMarco since 1968.

Born in Brooklyn, NY on January 10, 1947, he was a son of the late Joseph and Helen (Penta) DiMarco.

Mr. DiMarco graduated from Lafayette High School in Brooklyn and attended the University of Maine. He was a resident of Bellingham for the past 22 years and had formerly resided in Kingston, NY and Rhinebeck, NY.

Mr. DiMarco was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and was a salesman in the jewelry industry for many years.

Mr. DiMarco enjoyed baseball and coached youth baseball while living in New York State.

Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons, Joseph J. and Kristopher D. DiMarco, both of Tallahassee, FL and Phillip A. and Erik C. DiMarco, both of Bellingham.

He is also survived by two sisters, Anita Scott of Ocala, FL and Helene Fitzpatrick of Leonardo, NJ and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Saturday, October 10 at 9 a.m. from the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St., Medway followed by a funeral Mass at St. Brendan’s Church, 382 Hartford Ave. (Rte. 126), Bellingham at 10 a.m.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5 - 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Brendan’s Parish, 384 Hartford Ave., Bellingham, MA 02019 (memo: “Convent Fund”).
