Methuen, MA – Leona R. (Lemieux) Lane, 83, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family October 5, 2009 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill, Ma.
Born September 12, 1926 she was the daughter of Lionel and Victoria (Goulet) Lemieux. Mrs. Lane was a graduate of St. Ann’s School in Lawrence.
For 31 years Mrs. Lane had been employed as an assembler with Bolta Products a division of General Tire of Lawrence, and AT&T for 12 years prior to her retirement.
Leona is survived by her husband of 61 years David Lane and survivors also include daughter Linda and her husband Mark Holland and son David and his wife Maryann Lane all of Methuen, sisters Claire DeMarco of Lawrence, and Fern Reid of Peabody. Grandchildren; Jaime and her husband Christopher Lane, and Kelly Lane all of Methuen, and Sean and his wife Kara Holland of Malden and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers; Victor, Raymond, and Normand, and sister Lucille Doerr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday morning at 9 o’clock in Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish/St. Theresa Church 22 Plymouth Street in Methuen with burial to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery Andover.
Friends may pay their respects to Leona on Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
