Henry E. LeDoux
...retired from Raytheon; 79
LOWELL - Henry E. LeDoux, age 79, a lifelong Lowell resident, died unexpectedly Monday evening, October 5, at Saints Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Helen Marie (Riley) LeDoux, with whom he had celebrated a 57th wedding anniversary this past August 9th.
He was born in Lowell, May 24, 1930, the son of the late Henry E. and Rachel (Letendre) LeDoux, and graduated from Keith Academy in Lowell. He went on to graduate from East Coast Aero Technical school where he trained to service and repair aircraft. He began his work career at the Kaman Aircraft Company helicopter manufacturing in Bloomfield, Connecticut. He changed careers and became a Engineer at the Raytheon Company's South Lowell missile division. He retired from Raytheon in 1991 after 37 years of service to the company.
Mr. LeDoux was a resident of the Belvidere neighborhood in Lowell, and a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church.
He was active in the Boy Scouts of America, and rose from Cub Master to the President of the Greater Lowell B.S.A. Council. He was the proud recipient of the Silver Beaver Award, the highest honor bestowed by the Boy Scouts of America.
Besides his wife, he was the beloved father of Lowell Firefighter Laurence J. LeDoux and Sheila (Reardon) of Lowell, Mark. S. LeDoux and his partner Rev. William J. Albinger Jr., of Maui, HI, Suzanne Lepke and her husband Geoffrey of Lynnfield, and David C. LeDoux and his wife Kimberly (Boumil) of Lowell; the loving grandfather of Shannon LeLacheur, Erin LeDoux, Kayla LeDoux, and Alexander LeDoux all of Lowell; the proud great grandfather of Katelyn LeLacheur; and brother-in-law of Charles P. Riley Jr. of Rye, NH. Also survived by two neices and a nephew.
His Funeral Mass was celebrated Thursday, Oct. 8, in the Immaculate Conception Church, Lowell. Burial was in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Lowell. Memorials to the Saints Medical Center, Cancer Center, c/o Foundation Office, Hospital Dr., Lowell MA 01852 or the Immaculate Conception Church, Building Fund, 144 E. Merrimack St., Lowell, MA 01852, will be appreciated.
