Theresa F. (Petrin) Lafontaine 82, of Diamond Hill Rd. died Sunday at Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Alfred "Blackie" Lafontaine. Mrs. Lafontaine was born in Woonsocket a daughter of the late Elphege and Clarinda (Bibeau) Petrin. She was a clerk for several area Pharmacies including the former Prescription Center where she worked for many years. She was a member of the Royal Travelers, and St. Joseph Sr.Citizens and a volunteer at St. Antoine Residence.
Mrs. Lafontaine is survived by a daughter Monette Cormier of Warwick, a sister-in-law Lucille Monfette of Woonsocket, three grandchildren, Brenda Cormier, and Stephanie and Joseph Callaghan and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Paulette Callaghan, and sister of the late Bertha Bonin.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Visiting hours are prior to funeral from 8-9 AM. Burial will be held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham.
