Charles A. Bean Jr, 66, of Overledge Drive, Derry, NH died Saturday, January 12, 2002 at the Parkland Medical Center, Derry, NH following a lengthy illness. He was born in Cambridge, MA on June 23, 1935, a son of the late Charles A. and Dorothy (Pratt) Bean Sr. He was a resident of Derry for 14 years, formerly living in Wilmington, MA. He worked for Millipore Corp., Burlington, MA for many years, retiring in 1997. He was an avid race fan and enjoyed NASCAR races. He also enjoyed sports, always rooting for the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. He was predeceased by his wife Florence E. (MacKinnon) Bean in 1990.
He is survived by one daughter, Dorothy E. Titchen, Derry, NH, one son, Charles R. Bean, Lowell, MA, three grandchildren, one sister Connie Carlson, Norfolk, MA, several nieces, and nephews.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday January 16, 2002 at 11:00am at the Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington, MA. Friends may call on Tuesday January 15, 2002 from 7-9pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH.
