Obituary

MANN, Edna G. (Lambourne), a long time resident of Winthrop, passed away at her home on October 2, 2009. She was 101. She was the wife of the late Frank F. Mann. Born in London, England, on April 28, 1908, she was the daughter of the late Stanley E. and Ethel M. (Jenkin) Lambourne. She is survived by her nephew Robert L. Melvin and his wife Elaine of Durham, CT, their children Vincent P. Melvin and Dana A. Melvin and by her great grandnephews Benjamin and Joshua Melvin. She was the beloved sister of the late Ethel “Dolly” Melvin. Funeral Service was private with burial to follow at Puritan Lawn Cemetery at a later date. Donations in her memory, may be made to either the First Church of Winthrop United Methodist Church 217 Winthrop St, Winthrop, Ma, 02152 or to Hallmark Health Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice Inc, 178 Savin St Malden, MA, 02148. Edna was employed for many years a secretary for the United States Army and Air Force at Fort Banks in Winthrop. She later went on to work for several Boston law firms.
